We've been working on building an office/guest room in the basement the past couple months as time has allowed. Our goal was to have it done by Christmas, but obviously that did not happen. But as of last night we had all the drywall up and started taping and mudding seams. The first picture shows the nook where the desk will be. Tom is standing in the alcove where you first come in. I am hoping to get bookcases lined across this wall.
These Pictures were taken at 930pm last night...as you can see in Picture #3, Princess Veronica stumbled out of bed and came down to see what was up with us all. Again that is the alcove coming in. The last picture is of the other side of the alcove....hmm maybe I should have gotten a better shot of the desk area.
The lady that lived here before was a photographer and used the dark as her studio. It was painted that purple you see on the beam and had a green backcloth on the wall behind Tom. The ceiling was lined with a white sheet. The floor is painted to look like a wood floor. That will be getting carpeting in the soon future.Watch for more pictures as we accomplish more this week.
